Do I need to know any of the language already?
No. The first word you learn can be the thing in front of you right now. There is nothing to complete before you start.
What can I photograph?
Anything with a name: food, furniture, tools, plants, the view out of the window. If the app cannot tell what it is, it says so rather than guessing.
Does it work offline?
Recognising a new photo needs a connection. Everything you have captured lives on the phone and opens without one, and the audio and example sentences for a word are saved the first time you play or read them, so they work offline after that.
Is it free?
You can try it for free: a couple of captures a day for your first few words, and everything you capture is yours to keep. TappyWord Plus is what keeps the camera going after that, and it opens up the other languages, the example sentences and the practice.
What happens to my photos?
They stay on your device. A photo is sent to be recognised and is not saved by TappyWord afterwards; your collection lives on your phone.
